Tisdale Saskatchewan Travel Information
Tisdale is located in north-east Saskatchewan, where Highway 35 and Highway 3 meet. The town of 2,981 people is a business services centre for the surrounding largely agricultural region. Both the Canadian National Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway run through town. Tisdale's position as a transportation hub and its five inland grain terminals make it the region's grain handling centre.
Canada's largest 7-Eleven is at the busy corner of Highways 35 and 3. Nearby is "The World's Largest Honey Bee" roadside attraction which salutes Tisdale's role as the Honey Capital of Saskatchewan and producer of 10% of Canada's honey. Tisdale contains five parks, three of which include playgrounds and picnic sites. The Doghide River Trail offers walkers, cyclers, and skiers over 2 km (1.2 mi.) of trails along the Doghide River and through the Kinsmen McKay Park. Travellers on the trail may encounter some of the attractions including a boardwalk and observation deck, a wooden gazebo, and a trout pond. Nature fans will also enjoy birdwatching and observing wildlife on the trails of the award winning Jones Wildlife Sanctuary. The Tisdale RecPlex offers a 6 lane curling rink, ice arena, and performing arts theatre.
